Description

SolarEx 300 | Acrylic, Reflective Roof Coating SolarEx 300 is highly durable and UV resilient and pure 100% acrylic emulsion latex coating that creates a hard, abrasion-resistant film that is flexible enough to allow the coating to move with an elastomeric undercoat (ElastEx 200). SolarEx 300 is designed to be an ultra-durable top coat over masonry, stucco, concrete, dry wall, and properly primed metal and wood. It is also designed for use over elastomeric roof, wall, and deck coatings, as well as asphalt shingles and mineral surface cap sheets. Because of its hardness, it is recommended as a top coat over elastomeric coatings, which tend to pick up dirt. Its hardness also better resists mildew growth. Select your color from our 1020-color Fan Deck SolarEx 300 has a higher spray coverage than other acrylics, for the lowest material cost. This cover-age rate is possible because SOLAREX adds five times the levels of reflective Titanium Dioxide pigment, compared to typical white coatings. Originally created as a tennis court coating, the 300 is highly durable and UV resilient. At SolarEx, we offer unlimited color choices with our advanced color-matching process! Using the Drawdown Test, we ensure that every shade is accurately matched to meet your exact needs. Whether for roof coatings, wall coatings, or protective finishes, our precision technology guarantees consistent, high-quality results.

Yes. SolarEx 300 can be tinted to a wide range of colors… like all the colors in major color collections like Sherwin-Silliams, Ben Moore, Behr, etc. using standard tint systems. However, lighter shades are recommended for maximum reflectivity and energy savings.

When properly applied over a clean and prepared surface, SolarEx 300 can last up to 10–15 years depending on weather exposure and maintenance. Regular inspection and recoating every 10 years can extend its performance.

SolarEx 300 is primarily a reflective, UV-resistant acrylic coating designed to reduce heat and protect the surface beneath. When applied as part of a system with ElastEx 200 or SealEx 100, it provides excellent waterproofing as well.

Apply SolarEx 300 when air and surface temperatures are above 50°F (10°C) and rising. Avoid application if rain is expected within 24 hours to ensure full curing and adhesion.
